Project Information
Dam Site 7 is one of three projects included in the 2025-2029 Implementation Plan. The dam will be located within Omaha as it expands to the northwest towards Bennington. It will control over 1,600 acres of drainage area and will reduce flood risk through Omaha and downstream through the communities of Papillion and Bellevue.
The purchase of land rights has started in order to secure the land against the development pressures from northwest Omaha. Preliminary design is complete, and the project is moving towards final design and permitting.
